Accommodation
Before the Conference - from the 31st of August to the 1st of September - you can enjoy the flea market in Lille, which is the largest one in Europe. If you plan to be in Lille for that week-end, it is highly recommended that you book your hotel room before the 30th of April. Only a few hotels have pre-booked rooms for EPE'13 attendees for the flee market week-end.
Please find below a list of hotels, most of them being bookable with reduced fees from our partner Perspectives and Organisation (P&O) (cf. table below).
The list below provides, for each hotel, its name and address, if they may be booked from P&O, its distance (km and miles) from the Lille Grand Palais (LGP) conference center and the best transport to use, and its comfort rating (number of stars, 
for conventional hotels and 
for ecological hotels, i.e., which have the La Clef Verte / The Green Key or the European EU Ecolabel international environment labels for tourist accommodation. Some hotels also have the 
Accor's hotels Planet 21 certification with a 10% CO2 emission reduction aim to 2015 (-5.5% obtained in 2010). Details on how our computations are made can be found here.

The last column also indicates the CO2 emission factor for each hotel (base 1 for 2-star conventional hotels). This emission mainly depends on the comfort rating, e.g., a 4-star hotel emits 12% more CO2 than a 2-star hotel. We recommend, if possible, to choose an ecological hotel which emits 55% less CO2 than other hotels. |
